Hamish originally wrote this song for his other band, Rectifier, as a tribute to Over The Falls. Well, "tribute" isn't really the right word. Hmm... shout-out? No... send-up? Naw, that ain't it, either. What's Scottish for "rip-off"?

If I could see the light would I know what to do with it?
I couldn't find my ass with both hands and a map
If ignorance is bliss then I'm in ecstasy
I would be perfect if I wasn't full of crap

Cos I feel like a man but I'm not

I saw a vision of an angel rise in front of me
When I asked where she came from she wouldn't say
She said, "Everyone must choose to leave the things they love
If they want to know the straight and narrow way."

Cos I feel like a man but I'm not

And so I thought about the things the angel said to me
And a light began to dawn inside my brain
Is enlightenment a man's responsibility,
Or could a little knowledge drive someone insane?

Cos I feel like a man but I'm not
And I made other plans then forgot

Then she left me all alone
She said, "This is one decision
You must make on your own."

If I could see the light...
